The Cloud base services Digital Evidence Investigations Course is a 80 hours training course designed to educate first responders how to handle potential digital evidence. This course will train people how to preserve and collect possible digital evidence for a future full examination. It will teach how to do an in-situ preview and where to look for possible locations of digital evidence using various forensic freeware software tools. The class will also inform what basic evidence could possibly exist from Internet activity, IM chat programs, and peer-to-peer software programs. There are labs after each section of class to give students hands on experience with the proper procedures. At the end of the class, there is a 4 hour practical lab must complete in order to successfully complete the course. Computers, forensic software, and forensic hardware will be provided to use during the class.
